Yep I agree. I decided to jump into this one on Friday as the lithium sector is red hot. In just the last 3 months we have seen:
* LIT ETF up 69%
* Chinese lithium carbonate up 31%
* Chinese lithium hydroxide up 8% (only just started turning upwards)
* Spodumene up 4% (looking ready to turn and make a move upwards)
Over the last 3 months we have seen the SP of American lithium producers:
* Albermale +90%
* Livent +85%
* SQM +61%
* Lithium Americas +25%
The SP of the big Chinese lithium players over the last 3 months:
* Sichuan Yahua +175%
* Tianqi +162%
* Ganfeng +118%
* BYD +89%
* CATL +80%
* Ningbo Shanshan +49%
And the SP in the last 3 months of ASX lithium stocks:
* CXO +359%
* VUL +237%
* PLS +193%
* AVZ +170%
* GLN +170%
* LPD +125%
* GXY +121%
* AGY +114%
* INF +107%
* LTR +90%
* MIN +59%
* LIT +44%
* SYA +40% (SYA looking to fly today)
Yet in the same time frame, the SP of ESS is -20%
This tells me that ESS has a lot of catching up to do. ESS needs to run down that lithium train and jump on board.
Should they catch that train then hopefully a minimum is getting back to a SP of 14c-15c. But with the sector so hot, and with ESS having such a small MC and SOI, hopefully there is at least a bag or two to be had here.
IMO
GLTAH
$ESS
9.5c SP
$19mil MC
200mil SOI
last 3 months lithium sector has been flying (not yesterday though), ESS has yet to catch the boat and has a lot of catching up to do. Had a nice churn in the 10c - 10.5c range yesterday and finished green when almost all other Li stocks were red.
