Thats possibly the difference. I have never been and will never be a trader. Fear and greed are both weaknesses of mine which will prevent me ever being good at trading. I know that so I just don't bother. I'm an investor. I bought my first parcel at 9c. My DCA average is now 23.5c. The reason my average has gone up is the same reason I would be entirely comfortable with the price dropping below my average (assuming all else remains the same)... the fundamentals. And the fundamentals have only got better since I first invested. For me, if the price dips (again, assuming the fundamentals remain) its just means the shares are on sale. When Bunnings has a sale, I buy more for less. I don't care that the ladder I bought last week at 10% off for $200 is now on sale for $180... because I'm confident the product I bought at a discounted rate is still value for money, no matter the current (temporary) price.
