My bet is Pence.
He has put just enough distance between himself and Trump.
Has a reasonable power base in the evangelicals.
He can spin a story like '' I only supported Trump because that is what loyalty required , but he stepped beyond the bounds, and my loyalty to the American people took precedence , and I did my duty ''. Cue: video of him standing in front of the flag with the star spangled banner playing in the background.
Slimy piece of guano, but I think it will fly.

Question is, will there be another party for the right wing crazies? American White Patriots?
Because that is what will be needed for anyone with the name of Trump to be a candidate.
Ron Johnson , no chance , will be lucky to hold his seat in senate 2022.
Anybody as closely identified with Trump , and the ''Steal '' , isn't going to the presidency any time soon.
The GOP will be looking for someone with a veneer of respectability , a relative clean skin.
Have a look at the Governors , if it isn't Pence.
