So i'll have a go at answering my own question.... Please keep in mind that this is pure speculation, however one possibility as to why such a large trade would occur is that maybe someone is thinking that positive phase III results will be announced between now and the 6th of May (the date the new AVXR shares become AVX shares)... maybe someone has an inside word, maybe someone is taking a large punt, who knows however you would have to be feeling fairly confident to make such a large purchase. As a long time holder (who has averaged down on a number of occasions) I hope that the phase III results come out sooner and that I'm not sitting here in June still waiting for them, good or bad I'll see this through to the end.
