Developers, builders & architects have differing preferences. Wienerberger manufactures clay bricks/blocks whereas Xella manufactures Autoclave aerated concrete (AAC) blocks/panels & Calcium Silicate Units (CSU). If both pilot programs amount to commercial contracts, FBR will be laying all of the structural offerings in the market besides timber (for obvious reasons).

IMO, If both companies had product offerings that used the same materials, I would be legitimately concerned. At the moment though, I don't believe that there's anything to worry about and a bit of friendly competition might help speed things along.
