dcarr I am probabily not the one you really need to reply as I am a mug who is still to really make it. There are so many things that you need to get a handle on. I do not know what experience you have. What are your time frames, buy and sell today or tomorrow, month or 2, of longer term?
Will you follow particular sectors? Do know about mining, finance etc? How much time do you have each day?
If you are looking to start into charting this may be a good start.

The menu down the left has a lot of good links.
I am looking to be a full time trader at some stage and am still finding each day a learning experience. I have been in the market to some degree for 20 years. The good years are easy but the ability to get through the hard times are the defining factor.
    good luck
