Dlux, I am an atheist but I disagree with that view. Yes, many horrors have been perpetrated in the name of religion, but I think they are the result of power mad, despotic "leaders", who if religion didn't exist, would still have found an excuse or another form of ideology for what they did - think Mao, Stalin, Hitler, the Soviet invasions of Eastern Europe post Stalin - religion wasn't involved in the horrors they perpetrated (apart from the fact that in some cases they targeted religions), the massacres in Rwanda were tribal, not religious.
