I used to think the same Sky. In my 4 years of economics/finance degree not once was TA taught
However with practical experience I have seen it's important. all TA is when you unwrap it is behavioural economics and sentiment, both of which play a big part in short term movements. I have been burnt by ignoring TA in the past so whilst I don't use it to make my investment decisions, I still like to understand what to expect.
