I have a science degree, so empirical evidence is not new to me. No, it would really hurt if someone made fun of it or called it fantasy or whatever.
All I'm saying is don't assume that people experience life the same way you do. We may all look similar, but what goes on behind the thin veil of conscious thought can be extremely different.
