As for valuation, I do not mean to brag but I have completed units one and two in Valuations as part of my Estate agents license which I studied for a year full time. Only completed half the certificate but finished all the valuation and business law units.
It is quite easy to work out a market valuation on just about anything. If it were not then nobody could guarantee a loan or be sure of anything when it comes to credit. In fact you can be fined for under or over valuing a home for instant. How can this be so if your concept of willing buyer/willing seller could mean anything from 1$ to 10M$. The answer is simple. The concept of market value is not some undefined flux that changes like the wind at the whim of the parities. It is in fact quite ridged and can be accurately predicted within a very low range. If it were not so there would never be certainty.
In fact all banks require a market valuation on just about every transaction they are a party to. As for IP valuations, they are defined by sales revenue and reasonable sales forecast divide by time left on the patent.
In our case you only have to go back and see what SBN paid for SBL under the market conditions back then to give you a comparison and then simply add or subtract the current market conditions of today and divide it by the time left on the patent. Comparison to other IP transaction will also confirm the markets sentiment. I think you find MF and Dr Sun sentiments in the recent update in regards to our own "small cap" investment is a fair indicator that our market conditions today would mean an subtraction on the value. You also need to deduct three years of the life span as well. It is not rocket science.
To suggest as you have said that it could be anything and nobody know is just plain wrong.
