I would normally take little interest in US politics, I'd struggle to say if a past president was Dem or Rep

Seeing Trump campaign for the 2016 election my thought's were surely Americans are not that stupid and can see that Trump is a narcissist that given how unpredictable he is not fit for the high office of POTUS. Seems I was wrong

Trump's time as POTUS has been chaotic to say he least but his handling of the covid pandemic showed just how unfit for the position of POTUS he is. From the beginning of the pandemic Trump was more concerned with the economy than the health and safety of the people, with the medical experts recommending measures like wearing masks, social distancing and lock downs, Trump rejected those measures as he saw it as a threat to the economy which he was using as a measure of his success as president.

With that and encouraging states to end lock downs the pandemic got worse as worse to the point Trump was saying and doing nothing except holding out for the vaccine.

Another of Trump failing as president was the BLM protests, a decent leader would have called for calm and condemned the actions of the police that killed George Floyd. Not Trump, he inflamed the protesters by using force even on peaceful protesters. Trump caused division in condemning the protesters and not showing any empathy for them.

As the US headed towards the election the covid pandemic was getting worse and worse but the pandemic was the last thing on Trumps mind, he was focused on the election and help rallies that turned to to be super spreader event

By that time not only was my view that Trump was a narcissist confirmed but his narcissism was off the charts, he is a malignant narcissist

Just when you though we had seen the worst of Trump his action in saying he had actually won the election, that the was fraud and the election was stolen from him even though there was no evidence showed how much of a malignant narcissist he is.

But Trumps actions on the 6th inciting the riot and invasion of the Capitol build was a disgraceful act like no other, Trump should be assamed of himself but being malignant narcissist he knows no shame.

So if we are talking of a cesspool, the cesspool is Trump and his enablers

Given the extraordinary measures being taken to secure DC for Bidens inauguration shows how serious a threat Trump and his supporters are to democray

But it's important that Bidens inauguration goes ahead to show that America stands by the rule law and constitution to protect it's democracy
