TGR is financially stronger than its main Australian-located competitors, HUO in salmon and SFG in prawns. There are other unlisted domestically domiciled competitors, especially in prawns.
It depends to some extent on exchange rates and consumer preferences, if any, for buying 'local' product but to my mind TGR has scope to further cut in to the market share of imported salmon and prawns. The recent WOW recall of vannamei prawns (discussed previously on 'HC') is a warning as to what consumers can experience, although to be fair as you point out, local aquaculture also has risks.
