What you say is counterintuitive but 100 per cent correct.
On occasion I've noted this with other stocks.
DYOR and operate accordingly. It's still possible for small retail investors to be ahead of the game. My approach is to only invest in companies whose sector I reckon I understand, which for me is not oil, gold or other precious metals, and nor is it technology stocks.
