My understanding is that (whoever is) POTUS only has direct influence via executive orders over Federal land ... i believe BNL is not operating on Federal land and in any case, Trump's team are right now pre-occupied with photocopying pardon applications ... mining permit applications of any flavour must be very low down oin their list of things to do.
