I disagree that the options are more risky than heads, especially considering that there is no premium to the heads but actually a discount.
You could but the options right now at 5c, send the company a cheque at 2.5c and have heads for 7.5c OR you could pay 7.9c to buy heads.
Doesn't sound too risky to me.
