Okatou - you said the IMF has 400 tonnes. Just be a little more clear in your writing. As for the 3,000 tonne figure - China and India have both proposed that the IMF consider a complete sale of IMF's gold supply in order to assist in funding those countries where the economies are in complete disarray and people are poor and starving. Creates sort of a ethical conundrum for gold bugs.
