Personally, I think our economies are too intertwined globally with the descending superpowers of Russia and China to risk WW3. I think of the current conditions like how I grew up with the ever present USSR, proxy wars but this time there are 3 players.

War is only good for US when they really need a good economic stimulus. Money printing suffice until their reserve ccy is threatened.

China has made India a 4th player. Another fists and boots skirmish on the disputed border yesterday tells me it's not over.

Xi's determination to stir up India suggests to me that he is not ready to have a go at Taiwan.
