I feel sorry for the labor party as they have lost their way since the heady days of Hawke and the great Keating. Back then labor was relevant and spoke to its people in the working class. Sure Keating didn’t come across as working class but his roots were and he understood the day to day grind of working class people. The current crop of labor politicians have little or no understanding of their parties issues as most of them have not lived them. Labor will fad into oblivion unless they can reposition themselves which I honestly cannot see happening anytime soon.
