A respectable outcome, but... it needs to be remembered, that there was quite a big overhang of unsold gold from the last quarter. Hence the larger amount of gold sales, versus production.
Just listened to the conference cal:
Moolart - good outcome.
Rosemont - slightly down.... U/G ok. Open pit grades, less than stellar.
Still pretty new at U/G mining, sounds like they still have a fair bit to learn. Hence the extra grade control drilling.
Entering into the main zone, so... ore will kick in late in the quarter.
Garden well - good outcome.
Guidance... will be met. Particularly as the 2nd half production wise, will further improve. Though I doubt they will actually produce much higher than 95k (I would be very happy with anything about 90k)
My guess is the AISC for next quarter, will be slightly higer than this quarter... as they will not have the extra dore to sell. But.. nothing can be done about that. A fair bit of mine development went on. Plus, the dividends got paid. Large tax payment, not usually this big (additional $9m).
$220m in cash, with that going higher this quarter, with no dividend being drawn.
Hence why the cash amount actually dropped, but.. only slightly.
Garden Well U/G going ahead, means a decent amount of capex to be spent, but.... it will defiantly add higher grade ore, plus be very good cost wise. The MD sounded quite positive about further expansion of the U/G deposit ('should be a very valuable addition').
Ben Hur - looking good. Potential to grow beyond this. 'Ideal source' of oxide material.
Current drilling has showed that the grades match, plus, there is gold outside the current pit.
Either way.. its almost guaranteed to be mined, and will add mine life.
McPhilliamy's - 3-4 months.... before they get the final decision. Development application (before June 30 would be a good outcome).
If... they get approval. Cost of the project will be reviewed - My guess is they will go up, but... not much can be done.
it's shovel ready....
Exploration - they do seem to be gaining traction on their overall programs and I suppose my optimism is increasing (in a measured way, as they are still having to spend big). He is cognizant that it is a long game.
The MD seemed most keen on potential Rosemont main pit expansion.
The tracking does seem to be tracking well overall. Unsure whether it has motivated me to add to my position, but... removed all chances I sell.
Good luck to all holders.
