If adding potential suitors I can't go past adding chinese gov owned CEMEC to the list, this is the China government backed consortium which had earmarked and signed off on 3.5 billion US for a project in Gabon 170km's away where it all has gone skewiff due to environmental issues on the location.

I can't really see it getting off the ground now the the main opposition leader to it just won the equivalent of a noble peace prize in conservation.

Not to mention the Chinese in that case had signed off to take all production. Given the situation, and been ongoing since they started Mid 2006 and now totally nowhere I think SDL would probably be talking to them too if conditions and location and local support in Cameroon are posing a viable alternative. Don't forget the Chinese like to save face, walking away is less likely than find an alternative option if available IMO.

Anyone done any research into how the Gabon prospect for them cost wise stacks up against SDL's in Cameroon? They'd have to have thought about it I think.

(DYOR, I'm just using media articles so facts on Gabon could be off)
