There seems to be less forced selling and that is what knocked the whole market around, good stocks and the bad. I don't think the recent buyers plan to dump.
If the stock is a good thing then remember Buffet's quote
"Our favourite holding period is forever"
As for oil, it is either there or it isn't and no company can change that. Whether the flow fluctuates or not, it is a prolific area of still to be defined size and scope.
Punters always hang on to duds too long and sell the good ones too early.
I don't think we will get bitten for holding and remain optimistic.
