    Here is my guess.

    I would not be surprised if a diesel is running, however I don't see why this turbne should be any less capable than a fired boiler turbine.

    For one thing heat in is at a constant temp, so I think the boiler can be self regulating, ie as the governer opens up the following happens

    1. increase in steam flow
    2. corespending increase in feed water flow
    3. boiler water is somewhat cooled
    4. energy transfer increased between primary circuit and secondary.
    5. primary water returning to ground will be somewhat cooler as more energy has been extracted.

    In the case of no load there would be almost no heat transfer and the water returned to ground would be hot.

    As the water is onlly about 250 deg C there would not be an over pressure situation.
