You target your ownership of being in the top 6 of the major resources in the world (about a dozen of them) from Zinc to Lithium to aluminium and gold, and you build processing and industry here.

You develop it with a plethora of green energy and technology and you move downstream from there as appropriate industrially.

Will we compete on a kettle or car level? No, but there is a way to target key industry that will be accommodated by our abundance of space (renewables), resources (in the same place as the renewable).

When you develop sufficiently in key hub areas WA, NT, QLD, SA, NSW you then enhance or develop the social infrastructure to support the workers. Targeted immigration where necessary.

But that means a strategy, because when you do the above, you find synergies and spin off industry and services. It’s inevitable in tech and new industry.

You also need to develop support areas such as roads/rail and shipping or enhance the current. That brings jobs and social development too.

so Scomo et all - Where the bloody hell are ya? Is it really that difficult.

Even Big bad Adani pumps out 8GW of renewables.
