Yes of course rock chips are selective, they are supposed to be, they always have been, its understood.
But you can't have rock chips at surface with a 100 plus grams a t gold or 10% copper unless it came from somewhere.
Does that mean the average grading of the whole valley is going to be like that in the best rock chip seen? Absolutely not.
But if you have some good/great grade rock chips and more importantly some consistently target mineral yielding rock chips it is a very good indication something is going on in the earths surface where you are collecting because the Easter Bunny didn't scatter the rock chips around for your Geo to find..
