Reading that it would seem the P value directly correlates with the Clinical trials Safety. As they have noted that there are no toxicity in the first trial they can adopt a higher p value and reduce the patients. (because peoples health is solely because of the cancer and not a biproduct of the treatment)
Or maybe I'm wrong.. Just my interpretation
