$40 per test and has to be mailed out to consumers...still its a ground breaker. Nice to have someone else break the ground makes it easier to slipstream their approvals. If testing is here to stay then what about a test that you don't have to pay $40 for and wait to arrive via post. Does the disease (Covid) get worse while you wait a few days for delivery? Then you have to jam a long swab up your nose to test...ouch!
Perhaps then along comes RAP with a cough test for covid approved via data from AstraZeneca (a long and heavy hitter in anyone's language) which costs $5, is instant and doesn't involve an invasive and painful nasal test and is just as accurate.
So another year (Covid is here to stay most likely as the vaccines will likely be only 60% effective like the flu shot) and then maybe just maybe the collaboration with AZ will create such a test via RAP's tech.
The other guys haven't created anything new really just a better way to remotely do the nasal swab test...it aoin't perfect but hey it will do for now and they will get the zillion bucks...good for them.
RAP creating a Covid test which works via their system would be superior and still be required in the future and would replace an expensive and (now) cumbersome Covid test. I rest my case. I also am going to have a pleasant lunch and let fate decide our fate.
