I read it as eradication was at it's highest on day 7 at 76.2%, 2 days after the treatment period of 5 days had ended. Within the same sample group, eradication had declined to 38.1% on day 12 (7 days after the treatment period had ended), and then 23.8% by day 28. A decline in eradication after the treatment period has ended should be expected in my view. If the treatment period was greater than 5 days, then potentially the eradication of 76.2% may very well continue, but when the treatment period ceases the staph will gradually come back over time.
