I am a bit shocked at your cool discussion of possible fatalities by swine flu, etc.. The possible genetic protection carry-over from the Spanish flu epidemic that swept the 1918s-20s is quite tenuous, because it mostly attacked and killed young and healthy people - so no offspring, therefore not much chance of a genetic carry-over. The more likely situation in more advanced and less densely populated countries like ours will be less serious because of better health care facilities, infrastructure and faster response mechanisms.
This thread is a classic example how hype can influence a share price.
