“At 1,033.5m there was a band of pervasive chalcopyrite and pyrite mineralisation within the granite (Figure 3.). The hematite-rich, altered granite exhibited stringers and disseminations of chalcopyrite + pyrite +/- bornite to varying degrees to 1,396.2m”

This 362.7m interval in HWD004 is the key quote from the quarterly imo and certainly enough to warrant much more exploration work in this area no matter what numbers the assays come back with. You just need to look at the 19 holes TAS have drilled exploring at Vulcan over the years by themselves, with RIO and now with FMG to see that a lot of interest will remain here for some time to come. The ability to throw up over 350m of mineralised interval is no doubt very significant.

Putting BHP Oak Dam West comparisons to one side for now and looking at both what has been said and what has not been said by CHK for me the closest comparison I keep coming back to is CAR002 (the discovery hole at Carrapateena).

Note: CAR002 was 178.2m @1.83% Cu, 0.64g/t Au, from 476m (inc. 75m @2.89% Cu & 0.4g/t Au.). Well worth a read of the descriptions below.

Drilling down into more detail on the Mineralisation log in this hole we see some more similarities

Of course the big hit at Carrapateena was CAR050 (905m @2.1% Cu and 1 g/t Au.) but it was CAR002 that got the whole ball rolling.
