I'm sorry to hear about the loss of loved ones with this disease but it is still quite rare and Dr's are tuned in to look closely for symptoms. Although type B is more common type C is sparodic and usually results in the horror stories seen in the media. Don't panic if you cannot get the vaccine immediately as the disease has been wtih us a long time and type C is stil rare(statistically) and there is no plague occuring its just the media making us aware of the horrible illness. There are a heap more diseases out there that strike more frequently and cause more damage the Meningococcal so be vigilant but dont panic. regards RM
