As a FA investor the best returns are made when the charts are still weak
FXJ at 31c MGX at 19c etc etc are some examples when I was buying we TA traders talked about weak charts. The compound loss of waiting is too great
example - let’s say I have 50k to allocate to TYR
at 2.60 o buy 19230 shares
at 3 I buy 16666
if the stock goes to 5 dollars I have 96150 in capital
ve 83330 if I waited for a TA trigger - 13k higher is approx a 33% difference in return on my 50k capital
this is why I much prefer to back my FA judgment especially if I am buying for the medium term
