    Hi Mega, yes they should end up with a fair amount of graphite powder or "black mass" from the EV batteries. The trick is to be able to re-purify it back to a level that meets high end applications, whether that's back into another Battery (closing the loop) or just other high end industrial applications which will also require a high purity level.

    In the Chris Reed interview I posted above, Chris Reed mentioned "selling it" to others that can re-process it. I hope they reconsider this and instead look at partnering with the "others". It would be a great selling point to have this process added onto our Battery recycling facilities as they are built, particularly if it can go back into new batteries.
