Totally agree, that SE1 is more than just the Covid Sensor. And that it will pay out to stick with SE1 for a longer period of time, as the MEMS will find their use it other applications.

At this time, all those devices where SE1 delivers MEMS for, seem less relevant than the Covid Sensor. This bastard virus and the media coverage are just too dominant to not be exposed to it.

just a few moments ago, scrolling through Twitter I came across this German news article:

"British Corona-Virus Mutation: 14 vaccinated persons tested positive for B.1.1.7."

The article is about a corona-outbreak in an elderly care-home (in a small german city). All residents and workers had received the second vaccine-shot (Biontech/Pfizer) on 25. Jan. All infected persons only showed only very few symptoms or where asymptotic. The infections were discovered by tests of some care workers. measures were taken , like more testing , quarantines ... yaddi yadda yadda etc.

my thoughts on this article and the Twitter discussion:

Good thing is, the vaccines seem to be working as they should: vaccines Protecting the people (especially the elderly) enough to prevent severe symptoms and worse.

the bad thing is, despite vaccinations, infections are still possible, making the vaccinated persons a carrier of the Virus, thus making them a threat to unvaccinated persons. And as Biontech/Pfizer have stated , the vaccine is only effective 90%. thus, still 10% of the vaccinated population might be susceptible for an infection with severe symptoms.

What does this mean for the fight against COVID? testing, testing , testing...and with more sophisticated, yet simplified testing devices approved by the authorities, it is likely that we will see testing moving out of labs, into privates homes and public places. It will remain a central part all nations strategy's to fight COVID.

    what Else?
if NanoDx's device (using Sensera's MEMS) turns out to successful, I can imagine , that a whole lot more possibilities will open up afterwards for more applications.
