There is an old adage in military circles than army which is not involved in any war goes stale after a few months.
Australia has no worries in that regard and we don't need to stockpile our own nuclear weapons (in case we do not already have some stashed away) because we have allies who will gladly supply us if we need them.
Apart from that we do have the technology and the people to make our own within a few months if need be.
