we don't NEED to understand the climate - or the weather -
we HAVE evidence everywhere that we are in a massive period of climate change - Siberia - entire towns are sinking into a quagmire that used to sit very nicely on permafrost - there's bloody big craters appearing all over Siberia in the permafrost, French canals have more weed in them each year now than at a Nimbin festival, England has got far warmer winters than in memory - ditto many places in Europe --
we don't need to understand a dammed thing about climate - what we need to do is to get on and build systems that are 'weatherproof' - and, climate change proof
it's a very simple concept - which many just cannot grasp
if your Siberian town is sinking into the mire ------- you can sit about all day arguing if it's hot or cold or who caused it to get hot and how to stop making it hot
the actual danger is ----------- your bloody house is sinking - and THAT is what you have to do something about
if you don't engineer for that - then, it's over for you ----------- end of story
