Geez Buncher, talk about attacking and bullying other posters - if you ask me, your post to me is a pretty decent attack and bullying attempt (up there with your early attacks on me and the "86's").
It's a forum though, so I guess you can say what you want and others like me can choose to put you (or me or anyone else) on Ignore if they don't like it.
But maybe everyone should try and comment on the stock and not on posters and also put up some/more backup for their posts/views.
Anyway, I'll quickly reply to some of your points:
*** Buncher:
At some point the share price was so low as to give the 1000% increase on the current price that you have often used. I'm not sure when that was but it would have had to be at .015 cents which would also mean that it was a 1333% loss on the issue price.
According to the ASX data, the 52 week high has been 44 cents and the low has been 13 cents. That's a 70% drop.
GB:
My comparison in relation to share price increases is from where they were on the day before Boda discovery announcement to current day/price - not sure what other dates you can compare all the stocks' performance to apart from those (stock prices on day before Boda compared to current stock price - self-explanatory I thought). Also, a loss can't be 1333% (maximum 100%).
*** Buncher:
The AGC spin off was a distraction. It has only been of limited value to MAG shareholders on the 5 for 36 free issue basis. Since the issue, the MAG share price has dropped from the 18 to 20 cents level to 15 cents.
GB:
AGC gave me and all MAG holders free shares/value.
Don't think I'd ever say no or that it is bad value/move if someone offered to just hand me $13.88 for every $100.00 that I had in my bank/share account, with no catch, for free and without me doing anything (ie. free money).
MAG share price actually didn't drop, but rose from a 17.5c close before the demerger news, up to 20.0c on the demerger news day, and up to 22.0c over the next few weeks.
Share price then dropped from 22c to 16c due to gold getting sold off by 200+ points:
*** Buncher:
I was concerned when I first looked at MAG of the fact that PD was only with SKY for 6 months before moving to MAG but ignored the point anyway.
GB:
Geez,
I wonder why someone in their first MD role,
that knows the area better than most,
would spend their life savings and buy about 5 million shares in another company in the neighbourhood,
and leave their first MD role,
and take up the MD role in the company they loaded up on with their own cash (MAG).
I wonder if he had a hunch that those grounds have a Boda or two on them - I guess we and he will find out sooner or later!
*** Buncher:
I welcome any dissenting view because it is helpful in weighing up my approach as to whether to stay or leave.
GB:
It's a forum, so welcome or not welcome, you/we will get everyone's opinions anyway. One thing I'll never understand is people not being happy with management or the company and still holding - if I'm not happy with management or the company, I move on - and MAG does not get special exemptions with that, but I'm happy with MAG's team/projects/progress so am sticking around and waiting for the big one and knowing that MAG has some of the best downside vs upside potential out there (yes, I too would prefer a current share price of 50c or $1, instead of 15c).
*** Buncher: Anyone that has followed your postings which are becoming almost religiously fervorous, would be nervous right now because they are likely looking at paper losses and rightly questioning the wisdom of taking a position in MAG.
GB:
Actually, anyone that has followed my postings would be up hundreds of % on MAG currently. Timing is everything with stocks and need to time your entry, after doing your DD.
If you stuff up your entry then cut your losses quick. If you stuff up your entry and believe in your research and what you bought into (assuming one has done some/plenty of research), then hold for the upside that your research told you was there (that's what I'm doing anyway).
And I've bought some more today down at these levels because I've done my research and am confident of big upside here on any of the prospects hitting a good hole (each to their own though).
Anyway, good luck to all and remember that for every stock you get into you need to do your own research, convince yourself if it's a buy or not and then hit the buy button if it is. Then if you make a gain it's because of your decision to buy, and if you don't then it's still because of your decision to buy (and sell) - no one makes that decision for you. If you haven't done your research and are not convinced and get shaken out when someone puts up a 350k sell at 16c and you sell to them at 14c-15c then you're not going to make it here or anywhere on the asx (and by "you" I mean anyone/everyone).
Cheers,
GB.
