I have just been reading an article regarding BHP's expansion of Olympic Dam. The article comes from The Australian and I quote
"The amount of copper concentrate produced annually will quadruple from 600,000 tonnes to 2.4 million tonnes under the expansion, which could begin as early as July next year."
PH produces about 200,000t of copper concentrate, that translates into 100,000t of copper. Based on the numbers, IMO, PH is too small for BHP to worry about.
OZL still has a great asset in PH, and PH's size means that the company should be able to grow from this base with good and careful management
