I do agree however, in this instance people are calling foul play when the reality could be that GeoT are in fact a best fit for what we need to progress and the deal made for debt repayment is better than sourcing another company to do the work. It's easy enough to assume Vulcan are helping out their 'mates' but I'm yet to see anyone suggest an alternative company from the area with similar credentials - there may be one, I've got no idea?!
I understand a few people who comment here are very familiar with the region so maybe they have knowledge of alternative companies/consultancies in the area who would have been better?
There is no denying that the work needs to be done, so quickly buying a whole company that can get it done seems semi-logical. Granted it doesn't look great when the guy who owns it already sits high up on the Vulcan food chain however as mentioned above (and to which I have no idea about), were there any better alternatives?
