Does the delay suggest there may be 2 legs to the solution?
1. Close off the steam flow.
2. Rectify the problem, be it a separation/leak around the casing/grouting or a metallurgical failure at the top of the casing due to combined stress, heat & pressure.
Maybe item 1 is the problem, where posts seem to be saying "tell us about 2 so we can move on".
PS. How much chewy does it take to seal a drill stem?
