I was thinking in the balls programmed to avoid the bat on way to stumps certainly less obvious than sand paper. In the event the bat nicks the ball then program would take ball to the wicket keepers gloves.
It would be within the rules if the Aussie’s did not know surely? To be fair you would have to have aged balls though unlikely to be needed.
