Yes, good point. I'm pretty sure AD was chair when this happened. I think JC looked around for clubs to sponsor and the Sharks needed one. I don't think that there were too many options, as the other AFL and NRL clubs were spoken for. I don't know why the advertising campaign didn't work. It was difficult to read the front of their jumpers because of the bullocking nature of the game. The Sharks might have sent their players to Southern, but I don't know about the residents of the Shire.
