anz should consider the actions it takes have on the tens of thousands of workers (maybe 100's of thousands including flow-ons to cities in Accounting law, finance, i.t. etc) in coal industries, the contractors to the mines and railways the geologists, geophyisicists, engineers, labs where it is tested, and of course the thousands in jobs in companies that make equipment for the sector!!
what are they going to do as a reaction to this? And if all big companies join ANZ and dont lend to coal,where are these people going to be empoyed -and dont say renewables you mob - nowhere near as many jobs in renewables as coal -look at all the steps to the coal process -explore, test, design, develop, extract, design ,explore etc etc -then coal has to be transported (usually) to a port or to a power station where there are more jobs -yes with exports these power station jobs are overseas- the powere staions tend to employ many mor epeople thatn say solar or wind farms, and require ongoing maintenance, and big maintenance every 5 or 6 years
