I really don't think they will.
After the GME situation the shorts are hesitant to commit hard to a position and all the retail investors can see the value of just holding and no one wants to sell and miss out. Zip wont short squeeze but it can do what it did today more often and have a 12:1 buyer to seller ratio.
Look at the chart today. It rose 17% and it barely had a dip. that's what supply and demand issues do and there's no reason why that cant continue. Shorts are going to have very little impact on the price from here. Or at least until we get to around the $30 mark and are comparable in share price to revenue vs Afterpay and alike.
