The company seem to be looking at getting back onside with investors, and this is not surprising when you look at the way that votes went at last year's AGM. The board will be aware of the value that has been lost due to lack of confidence, even though the finances are ok.
If they have to choose, equity investors want either growth or dividends as an investment case. So the board has had to make up its mind, and they seem to have settled on growth.
