AKP being bought out or sold to the biggest bidder is continually being posted here as a likelihood, but at no point have I heard anyone in the company talking about this as being a goal. Fred has said publicly that he has turned several big offers down. If anything - and this is direct from the mouths of both Fred Bart and Danny Lewin over several years - the business is being run according to a longstanding 4 Phase Plan of becoming a FABless vendor of the AP chip to every and all interested customers. It will need to be able to engage multiple FABs to produce enough chips to satisfy even moderate demand. The market models they have talked about for years have all stated very clearly that the whole existing market for speakers is a target, not just smartphones etc. That includes everything from consumer home electronics to point of sale vending systems to robotics to vehicles, and includes a heap of things that have not even been poked from a distance yet. Guidance and control via ultrasonics. Aids for the blind. AI devices that talk with you for a host of reasons.

But if they don't sell they will undoubtedly have contracts and partnerships with both suppliers and customers, and I hope lots of them. And I see no reason at that point that a long term holding in AKP will not prove to be a very long term source of increasing dividend income for my lifetime and beyond. I have said on here before, buying and owning AKP at this stage is like buying and owning Apple when it was just starting to churn out handmade computers like the Apple I and II, before the Mac, before the iMac, and well before the smartphone.
Don't you just wish you'd been able to do that back then!?
