Founded in early 2000s by Aaron Lee which he subsequently sold to DNA but he kept a decent parcel of shares. Dna then did a spinoff of Isentric into the current form via backdoor listing around 2015.
Digital payments back then haven't taken off yet like it has now plus Bnpl. Aaron only got back involved with IOU in July 2020.
Previous to that IOI was run by a different management for 5 years 2015 to 2020.
