Ann: Change in substantial holding, page-4

Paradice Investments have added another 20 million shares, most of them on 12 Feb, approx 9.2 million @ just over 35 cents. This was the day after the Bell Potter Conference Presentation. I'm presuming that Paradice and Bell Potter and Senex may have had lunch together at the conference, and as a result it seems to have imbued Paradice with additional confidence.

At the moment, every day, someone is hoovering up all they can get at 34.5 cents. It will be interesting to see if SXY releases any new substantial holder notices in the next 4 weeks or so. I'm presuming that after the consolidation, there will be less liquidity, and that usually means a more volatile share price (depending on how many shares are out), so someone may see it as easier and more prudent to buy in now at a reasonably stable price when there is high liquidity. And that is a fair point.

Monday is going to be an interesting day for the old SXY, with the webcast and half year results announced. Will we see another surge? I should qualify that, because a surge for SXY is usually about 2 cents. Wouldn't it be good to see another 10 week surge like we did after the 23rd of March, when it went from 14 cents to 27 cents, almost doubling in 10 weeks. The 10 day EMA is still above the 35 day EMA, so technically it remains in a short term uptrend.
