Theoretically - but those taking money out of bonds will need a new home as well. Whether cash (bonds) or other assets. U.S equity moves are quite muted in comparison to Australian markets - perhaps U.S-China shennanigans are more at play that is affecting our market. Bond yields historically are way too low with more money printing to come. In fact yields in 2.5-3.5% is actually a signal of a vibrant and healthy market. Yield are currently above the Fed rate though but still doesnt explain how U.S moves are muted in comparison to our market. The mean mistress strikes again.
