If you look at the improvements in inflammatory markers, BNP, renal function, they all follow a general trend of improvement that isn't obviously related to the infusions.
Below is the BNP of patient two, who they decide not to discuss during the discussion.
They also need to clarify when in the day the children got the treatments, and when they had blood tests.
Because, at least in Australia, they'd get the tests that day then get the infusions. And if that's the case these results are even less significant, because the BNP trend is obviously in place prior to the therapy in the one child they brought up.
Not really convinced, TBH. This is not something that would convince a physician to use this therapy. As usual, need more data.
The profound hypertension is absolutely something they glossed over as well, and it's funny they say there's no adverse effects and go on to mention one kid is still on antihypertensives.
Again, steroids can cause hypertension too. So we don't know if this is caused by remestemcell. I'd be interested to know if this is common when treating these patients with standard of care
