    Because gold isn't useful. Quite simple.

    Other commodities like copper and nickel are 'mooning' because they're necessary industrial metals and the goldbug-predicted 'crash to end all crashes' hasn't eventuated.

    The opposite has happened, and some pundits are predicting a massive boom ahead once the virus is under control.
